General Conference 2006!

I went to g-conf!! I'm a little bit behind on my blogging... theres a few events I havent blogged on yet, but I had to skip ahead to my general conference experience. Yesterday we got to watch g-conf in the conference center. As we were walking up to the session we were talking about how we wanted to be in one of the pictures they show in the Ensign. Just then we saw an Ensign photographer and asked him to take our picture. He did, but said he's not the one who chooses them so its no gaurantee....but keep a watch out for our picture in the Ensign! (sadly I didnt have him take a picture with my camera so I dont have a sample of the shot) This was my first time attending g-conf and it was amazing. Its so neat to see all the saints gathered to be instructed. We all stood when the prophet walked in waving his cane. I loved watching all the apostles lined up on the front row. After conference we walked to lunch. Sadly all the walking gave me bad blisters and it took us a while to make it back for the second session. We didnt have tickets for the second session so instead we sat in temple square and listened to the talks that were being broadcast on speakers. I havent been to Salt Lake in a long time, and it felt good to get out of the Provo bubble. So it was a beautiful day and a great way to spend conference. For anyone who hasnt attended g-conf at the conference center I highly recommend it. Of course you can recieve the same instruction sitting at home in your living room as well, but its nice to see all the saints gather together and see our church leaders conducting such an important meating. I know our prophet cares about us and wants us to be faithful. Love yah!
